Realty ONE Group Emerald Coast Realtor Spotlight: Erika Marr

“My biggest motivator is the knowledge that I have to chase my own dream. Success isn’t going to come knocking on my door. As a Realtor, I have to go out and find it,” said Texas native Erika Marr. 

Our Realty ONE Group Emerald Coast Realtor spotlight for May is Erika Marr. Erika and her fiancé moved to Destin a year ago—but this Texas girl might have her heart stolen by Destin pretty soon. Erika’s fiancé is in the military, so they move around a lot; however, Erika believes “Destin has the possibility of being a long-term home for us, and I can’t imagine a better place to settle down!” For now, Erika is focusing on living the good life on the Emerald Coast and fulfilling her passions as a realtor. 

Erika has been a realtor now for five months, but she plans to make this her lifelong career. “I developed a passion for real estate through experience with the moving process. I have never lived in the same place for longer than two years due to a number of reasons life has thrown at me and being with an army man,” she shared. Working as a realtor seems like the perfect recipe for success in Erika’s case, especially because the Destin area is her hub. Everyone who ventures to the Emerald Shores quickly discovers how breathtakingly beautiful it is and how popular it has become. “Destin is one of the top vacation destinations for Florida. Properties have kept strong year over year, and condos are fantastic for investment properties. The white sandy beaches are breathtaking, and Destin is central for all [the] coastal tourism hotspots that NW Florida has to offer,” she added. 

Outside of work, you will find Erika with her fiancé and two doodles. They absolutely love living in Destin and spend most of their time visiting local coffee shops, spending the day by the water, and watching the sunrise. She also loves to travel and explore new places, especially biking along 30A and taking trips to Crab Island.
