38th Annual "Elf on the Shelf" Destin Christmas Parade

As we enter Thanksgiving week, we will officially transition to the Christmas season! In celebration of the Christmas holiday, Destin will have its 38th annual “Elf on the Shelf” Christmas parade, held on Saturday, December 10th, 2022 at 10 a.m. The floats will begin at the Downtown Destin Shopping Center and travel west down Harbor Blvd. (Hwy 98) to Stahlman Ave. Spectators are asked to stand on the north side of Harbor Boulevard to watch the parade.

This is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit! Locals line the streets with Christmas gear in honor of the holiday. The parade typically consists of Christmas-decorated floats, golf carts, and we have seen decorated boats towed as well! Last year we attended the event with our truck and had a blast! The parade is a great way to support the community, promote a business and get ready for the Christmas season.

Applications must be received no later than Thursday, December 1st, and can be dropped off in person at the Destin Community Center (101 Stahlman Ave), faxed to 850-654-8998, or email to recreation@cityofdestin.com. In lieu of an entry fee, each applicant must donate a toy, which will be given to a local charity. All donations can be dropped off at the Destin Community Center.
